Publications

Shéri was featured in many magazines, newspapers and television programs. I can remember the following:

• The international magazine, Kids Nation Magazine, for three consecutive years.
• The Down Syndrome International website has featured Sheri many times
• The Scottish newspaper “Theirworld” (UK) and the Australian newspaper “The Age” wrote articles about her.
• In 2019 Shéri was honored as one of the inspirational women in South Africa by the SARIE magazine.
• Huisgenoot has featured Sheri many times, as an inspirational person in South Africa.
• Her book was featured in many magazines, the Sunday papers and in the local papers.
• The Greek papers did two features on Sheri, when we visited Greece and again in March 2025.
• The latest is a magazine Sheri was featured in, is “Bruis”, In South Africa, in April 2025.
• Media 24 featured Sheri’s accomplishments, after her visit to the UN in Geneva 2025.

Television Appearances

• In 2019 she was interviewed on the national New Zealand television program: “Good Morning New Zealand”.
• She was featured on the National television in Greece, by showing a documentary with Greek under writings. This documentary led to an invitation for Sheri to visit Greece and after that a television interview was done on National Television with Sheri.
• Her presentation was shown national television in South Africa, when she addressed the State President and more than 3 000 guests in Nelspruit (Mbombela).
• She has been invited as a guest on many talk shows on television, for example on ‘Via’ with Minki van der Westhuizen and “Against All Odds” and many more. .
• She also had the opportunity to play roles in two different television soapy productions; and also on stage as the leading person, in two different productions, which she enjoyed tremendously.
